Born in the morning - a lovely sunny day December 14, 2006, at about 9.45 am. I had thought that Star might foal the night before but nothing at about midnight, so I went home to bed. Next morning I went to the paddock and she WAS foaling!! I checked my watch at 9.39am then had to give the foal a pull as Star got up and the foal was dangling. Gave the poor little mite a tug and out she came at 9.45am. She is named El Burro Bellatrix; Trixie for short. Bellatrix is a small star at the edge of the Orion constellation.
